Distances and sizes are true scale (1 unit = 1000 km). Solar system positions come from JPL; named stars from the HYG catalogue; background stars from ESA's Gaia DR3 (every star whose distance is known to about 20%, streamed in as you move); exoplanets from exoplanet.eu. Star brightness is computed from where the camera is, and star colours are the true colour of a blackbody at each star's temperature. Exoplanet orbits are tilted correctly relative to our line of sight where the tilt is known, but their rotation around that line is unknown. Turn on labels and click one to follow a body, or use Search (top right). The size slider enlarges planets and moons; stars stay true size. Planet textures: Solar System Scope (CC BY 4.0).
